This video introduces you to the concept of true experiments. In the social sciences, causal statements are very susceptible to threats to internal validity. Experimental research designs (true experiments) maximize internal validity and are also known as randomized controlled trials or RCTs. In this video you learn about the three essential ingredients of a true experiment: manipulation, comparison and random assignment.
