Many areas of chemistry are poorly assessed through traditional
written examinations and have therefore relied on written assignments.
However, the rapid adoption of large language models has made it
increasingly difficult to verify authorship. This webinar explores
alternative assessment strategies for discussion-based chemistry topics,
such as chemistry’s role in sustainable development, and proposes
approaches that support authentic learning while maintaining academic
integrity.
